Hornets third string welcomed a strong Wellington team to the Nest and in an outstanding game played by 2 great teams put on a superb display and it was Hornets who stole the game right on full time with a try and conversion to complete a fantastic day of rugby at the Nest.
Try scorers were Jordan Kingman and James Bennett and 2 conversions by Charlie Deakin and final score was Hornets 14 Wellington 12. This keeps Hornets securely in 4th spot in the league.
