Hornets welcomed Yatton to the Nest and with a strong side selected were looking forward to lots of attacking rugby which is exactly what happened. In front of a large home crowd in glorious sunshine the conditions couldn't have been better for the Super 2oooos to play the brand of rugby they have become renowned for.
With Matt Parker returning from injury he captained the team in fine fashion and the solid pack provided plenty of quality ball. The set piece was solid, the lineout was exemplary as Mikey Brookes darts we uber impressive, Jon Roberts at the back of the line being found on numerous occasions, Fin Davis knicking opposition ball at the front. Yatton had no reply for this, other than to cheat, their front row being warned for taking Hornets out in the air at a line out inside Yattons 22 then did the same thing at the very next line out, same player end result yellow card.
Bryn Solomon was like Duracell bunny at scrum half, doesn't seem to run out of energy that boy! Humphris distributed superbly much to the frustration of Yatton whos discipline started to faulter time and time again, late shots, back chat etc the ref eventually having enough sending the exhuberant Yatton scrum half to the bin.
This was an all round great team peformance and they ran in a total of 11 tries to 1 and a superb victory.
With the back 3 of JP Adams, Sam Balkham and Quentin Querl on the AGP in the sun the result was never in doubt. A fact that is backed up by the impressive stats from The RFU.

Fair play to Yatton though for never giving up and remaing resolute until the end scoring a try in the corner in the final act of the game.
